Haddington – a Plastic Bag Free town
Plastic bags don’t look nice once they’ve escaped into the wild. They’re not very good for wildlife either, especially birds.
The average plastic bag has a useful life of around 12 minutes, but will take a further 500 years to decompose. Sustainable Haddington would love to see a plastic bag free town …county …country …world.
We are actively campaigning for Haddington to become Plastic Bag Free, and would like to say a huge thank you to East Lothian Council for supporting us with a grant for purchasing re-usable Town Bags and further development of the campaign.
