Our objectives and constitution

Our first aim is to set up Sustainable Haddington Ltd, a company limited by guarantee and with charitable status, which can provide local action on climate change and sustainable living in the Haddington area. Although still in draft form, its main objectives are:

• the advancement of environmental protection through the development and promotion of sustainability projects for Haddington and its community,
• the reduction of fuel poverty and advancement of education & community development through promotion of sustainability issues,
• to carry on any other activities which further any of the above objectives.

The job of setting up Sustainable Haddington Ltd belongs to our interim organisation Sustainable Haddington Steering Group (for more information, read our Constitution).

It’ll all become clearer as we sort ourselves out.
