PBF campaign launch – 20th December 2008
Thanks to the hard work of our group we have managed to get some fantastic, ethical shopping bags just in time for Christmas, so we have decided to officially launch the ‘Hadd Bag’ and our Plastic Bag Free Campaign on Saturday 20th December at the Haddington Farmer’s Market on Court Street between 9am and 1pm.
Our stall will have lots of information on general waste and recycling, in addition to more specific facts relating to the (mis)use of plastic bags, and their alternatives. We will have a free prize draw with the chance to win £25 worth of Fair Trade goodies, some furry marine life, and of course the Haddington Bags will be making an appearance. We will be joined by some of our very supportive local politicians, including Iain Gray MSP, Provost Sheena Richardson and Cllr Paul MacLennan who helped us obtain support from ELC. Hopefully some of our participating retailers will also be there. Please come by and say hello and show your support. The market is a great place to meet friends and try some fabulous local produce.
See you there!
