Local action on climate change and sustainable living

The bag is out there!

On Friday morning I received 1700 Fair Trade organic cotton bags sporting a delightful Haddington skyline design from ethical bag suppliers Bags2Keep. My husband and I spent several hours on Friday night counting out the bags which had been ordered by participating retailers, and the next morning I made a mad dash in the rain to deliver them. I have to say the retailers were all pretty excited when I arrived, and by the time I’d done my rounds I could see some of them already hanging up behind their counters.

So, ladies and gentlemen…I present The Haddington Bag (and the promo poster!)…

The image was created by Sustainable Haddington member Liz Woodsend, who also designed our poster. If you would like one for yourself they are currently available from the following shops:

Kesleys
Watsons
Gibsons
Sports Leisure Time
Joe Forte Sport
Fabrication
Oxfam
Maines
Malt Kiln

RRP is £1.99

I’d like to thank East Lothian Council yet again for making this possible, and the retailers who have already shown their support by purchasing bags to sell in their shops.
