Ideas for events

Our Good Food Year event went really well, lots of people came to get advice on veg growing, composting and reducing food waste, and there was quite a bit of interest in fruit mapping and allottments.  Go to our facebook page to see photos.

Our Earth Hour Supper at Peter Potter was sold out, and a great success. On top of that, we are very proud that East Lothian have been crowned Earth Hour “Lights-Out” champions.

Our projects

  • Plastic Bag Free Haddington aims to remove the need for disposable one-time-use plastic carrier bags. Part of the campaign is providing a cotton Haddington Bag promoting Haddington.
  • Swift Project is helping swifts make a comeback in Haddington by providing nest boxes.
  • Events Series – we are organising a series of events funded by the Climate Challenge Fund
